With 8 years of marketing experience in the fast paced world of FMCGs in 2 global MNCs, I am well-versed in the requirements of branding and marketing communication, starting from the importance of a tight brief in order to create clear, concise and compelling copy. Having worked with both global and local creative agencies throughout my career, I am experienced in both big picture strategic positioning and day-to-day communication with external partners. Information is power, but only in the right hands, as demonstrated clearly by effective best practise sharing learnt while I worked in regional teams in Singapore & Japan, with responsibilities spanning across Asia Pacific. I am obsessed with understanding the consumer, finding out insights, and getting to the sweet spot where you hit relevancy and entertainment. Being in a diverse working environment is something I thrive on, and hope to always continually be in.

I have created multiple product concepts from scratch for Maybelline New York, written copious briefs for partner agencies in New York and China to develop print & digital materials, and worked hand in hand with PR agencies in producing product and campaign press releases.

As writing and people have both been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, I have founded and developed the site Little Slices where I focus on longform interviews with people from all around the world. From what it’s like being gay in Japan, to a snapshot of the life of a former Victoria Secret model, I explore these topics in my site to discover the insights and motivations behind these fascinating people.

In my spare time, I delve into the world of creative writing, with my favourite genre being horror and gore. You’ll often find me at the Tokyo Writer’s Workshop, where I submit my work for critique and also give feedback to other writers.
